SMEA has several different types of committees:

*Permanent Committees-these groups work throughout the school year or during a specific season. Members are appointed by the Executive Board.

*Ad-Hoc Committees-these groups are short-term in nature, usually tasked with handling a specific set of concerns/issues/projects.

​

Part of SMEA's success is its ability to involve our members in the ongoing operations of our Association, especially within our committees.
